We started development in 1959, and obtained the utility model registration in 1962. That was the moment of birth for the world’s first domed tent, which is now the mainstream form for family camping trips.

We concluded the agreement with The Great Pacific Iron Works, the US company established by Yvon Chouinard (Chouinard Equipment Company) to be their exclusive agency in Japan. We registered Choinard Dragon as the trademark for their bags and sporting goods sold in Japan.

We moved the head office to 1-6-2 Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo.
We obtained the utility model registration for “shoulder strap harness system” of the Chouinard Dragon bags.

Succeeded in developing the “shoulder strap harness system” with the Great Pacific Iron Works in the US (Chouinard Equipment Company.)
1982 Obtained the utility model registration and contributed in bringing the vertical style backpack to the world.

We started development in 1959, and obtained the utility model registration and began to sell the products in 1962. “D bag” is the pioneer bag we worked on development as early as the year of our foundation. Now it’s one of the most popular outdoor goods. There are various stories about the naming, but the truth is that we launched the product in collaboration with Ito Sporting Goods Store in Kinshicho, Tokyo, and the name “D bag” came from the fact that a person holding it on the back looks like the alphabet D.

In 1979 we succeeded in developing the urethane waterproof finish which does not degrade even in 40 degrees below zero, for the first time in the world. We obtained the utility model registration for it, and even now this technology of Japanese origin is used all over the world as the best waterproofing method.

In 1993 we obtained the utility model registration for “accordion system” which is used for accordion sacks, now the standard item.

In 1998 we obtained the utility model registration for “quick release system.”
